EU compliance data for labels and packaging: EUDR, PPWR and Digital Product Passport
Three EU regulations now decide whether labels and packaging can be sold in Europe: the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the Ecodesign Regulation with its Digital Product Passport (DPP). Cansal manufactures labels, printed packaging and RFID tags in Bursa, Turkey, and delivers the compliance data for all three together with the product.
Who needs these documents
EU brands and importers sourcing labels, cartons or hang tags from Turkey: you are the operator under the EUDR and usually the manufacturer under the PPWR, so the legal duties are yours — but you cannot meet them without data from your supplier.
Turkish exporters in textiles, home textiles, cosmetics and automotive supply: your EU customers increasingly ask for PPWR declarations, EUDR data and passport-ready labels with every order. We supply them in the same shipment as the labels and packaging.
Why one supplier for all three
- Labels, packaging and RFID tags are produced under one roof in Bursa, so the team that specifies the board, inks and adhesives also writes the documents.
- Documents are linked to article numbers and deliveries, not sent as generic certificates.
- Available in English, German, French and Turkish.
- Fogra and ISO certified production, in business since 1990.

Frequently asked questions
Which EU regulations apply to labels and packaging imported from Turkey?
The PPWR applies to all packaging placed on the EU market since 12 August 2026. The EUDR applies from 30 December 2026 to paper and paperboard products sold as products in their own right, such as labels and cartons. Digital Product Passport requirements under the ESPR are introduced product group by product group and do not yet apply to most products.
Can a supplier in Turkey provide EUDR and PPWR documents?
Yes. The legal obligations sit with the EU operator (EUDR) and the packaging manufacturer (PPWR), but both depend on supplier data. Cansal delivers that data per article and per delivery: an EUDR data package, PPWR supplier declarations with test evidence, and a draft declaration of conformity.
Do I have to order all three services?
No. Each can be ordered separately. Most packaging customers start with PPWR documentation, add the EUDR data package for paper-based items before 30 December 2026, and add passport-ready labels when their product group requires a Digital Product Passport.
Is there an extra charge for the documents?
Standard supplier declarations and the EUDR data package are supplied with the order. Laboratory tests that are not yet on file for a specific material, and passport page hosting, are quoted separately.
